Al Musaifiri: International Islamic creatively involves in social service
The girls of elementary level – Islamic Studies Section – at Al Bayan Educational Complex conducted a working day in the Main Branch of International Islamic in which they closely got acquainted with different aspects related to the bank, its method of business and the services provided in addition to their familiarization with various information related to Islamic Banking and its importance.
Mr. Ali Hamad Al Musaifiri Executive Director of Personal Banking Services welcomed the students on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of International Islamic Mr. Abdul Basit Al Sheibi and asserted that the bank gives special importance to the activities concerning the services to the society and its various bodies and institutions. He then presented a brief on the bank’s history since its launching in 1991 pointing out to each new year having significant development in the journey of the bank which has become one of the prominent national banks.
The bank conducted a lecture on the concept of saving and squandering intended for the students accompanied by their Supervisor Asma Saeed Al Abdulla and Asst. Teacher Suad Hussain in which Mr. Al Musaifiry explained different aspects of the subject.
In his lecture Mr. Al Musaifiri referred to the importance of saving in man’s life where this concept has got a special dimension based on the magnanimous Islamic Shariah especially when the Holy Quran stresses the importance of economic spending and prohibition of squandering; matters relevant to Islamic economy.
He, in his lecture, also spoke on the negative effects of squandering and the positive effects of saving. He presented a brief description of Savings Accounts in International Islamic and its importance, positive outcome and its profitable yields obtained by savings accounts holders.
Mr. Al Musaifiri later gave a general overview of the bank activities, services and its cadre of employment and motivated the students to spend maximum efforts in their studies with the aim of excellence and gaining theoretical experience making them fit for assuming important posts and positions in their practical life.
He also answered their queries based on the type of Islamic Banking services, types of accounts, the difference between them, which of them are better and other questions related to the employment aspects of Islamic Banks and the qualifications required for a job seeker in an Islamic bank.
The students accompanied by Mr. Al Musaifiri and a number of bank officials toured different sections of the International Islamic Main Branch. He briefed them about the comprehensive banking services provided by the bank taking into account the fast developments in the Islamic Banking system. Mr. Al Musaifiri also presented memorable gifts to the students on the occasion of their visit to International Islamic.
At the end of the working day the supervisors and the students expressed their great pleasure and happiness for what they learned during their visit and they affirmed their good impression and practical and useful knowledge which may help them in making a clear picture of many concepts of Islamic banking. Their visit will help them in defining their future professional choices.
