As part of the bank’s strategy to widen its customer base and reach out to its customers, QIIB Chairman and Managing Director, HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani formally inaugurates new branch in Muaither

HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the QIIB Bank formally inaugurated the Bank’s new branch in Muaither in line with its local outreach strategy, grow the customer base and better serve the growing clientele.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Bank Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abdulbasit Ahmad Al Shaibei and a number of the Board of Directors’ members and senior officials at the QIIB Bank.

After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which marked the commencement of activities at the new branch in Muaither, HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani and the members of the Board of Directors and bank officials visited various sections of the branch, which is the 17th in QIIB’s Qatar network.

The new branch location was carefully chosen by QIIB to provide easy and better service to its customers, in and around Muaither. It is on the Muaither Commercial Street, which is bustling with activities. Besides existing customers, new clients will also find the new branch location convenient and easy to access QIIB’s proven quality service.

In his speech during the opening of the Muaither branch, the CEO Mr. Abdul Basit Ahmad Al-Shaibei said: "The QIIB branch in Muaither is a new addition to the QIIB Bank’s countrywide distribution network, which is constantly expanding to keep pace with the needs and expectations of customers, and to perfectly align with the strong economic growth across Qatar in all fields".

The CEO highlighted the fact that Muaither branch was designed with a renewed spirit with which the QIIB Bank works, and that signifies the harmony between the Qatari traditional spirit and the development and modernisation that characterise Qatar’s renaissance.

He said, “God willing, customers will find that the evolution is not only in form but also in the integrated banking services provided to them and led by a professional team that can meet the advanced banking service requirements".
Mr Al Shaibei stated that the Muaither branch, as is the case with other QIIB branches, has been equipped with the latest technology and will provide customers’ a range of banking products and services. The existing and new customers will find convenient access to all kinds of banking products and services at QIIB’s Muaither facility as well as other branches across Qatar.

He said, "We are strongly committed to our customers and pay great attention to the expansion of the various channels, which is reflected on the opening of new branches. Our new Muaither branch is a strong case in point. Similarly, we are working on the opening of several more branches this year, even as we are continuously working on raising the quality standards in all the bank branches. Our focus is on keeping up with the latest banking developments in a way that facilitates the best banking services to our clientele".

In this regard, Mr Al Shaibei noted that the QIIB Bank has invested heavily in online banking, mobile / telephone banking services and customers’ service centre, in addition to deploying more ATMs. All of these will give customers’ access to banking services, in the most convenient and fastest way possible.
He stated that the safety standards adopted by the QIIB Bank in various distribution channels are the best in the world.

The QIIB’s administration has entrusted the management of the Muaither branch with a strong team of bankers with considerable experience and who are well trained to serve different customer segments and meet their needs in terms of banking products and services.

The new Muaither branch will work in two shifts, Sunday through Thursday from 7:30am to 1pm and in the evening from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday through Wednesday. The rationale behind the two shifts is to provide longer banking hours at a time of customers’ convenience – be it in the morning or evening.
QIIB recently opened a branch at the Pearl Qatar, which is dedicated to an important segment of the bank’s customers.

QIIB also informed that it is planning to open a new branch dedicated to corporate customers such as companies to meet the increased demand for such services.
